"Our Children's Future" is an evening of live music, local food, artwork and poetry taking place this Wednesday, April 11th at Wealthy Theatre from 5:30 - 9:45pm. 

The event includes a discussion led by Mayor George Hartwell featuring a panel of speakers from the University of Michigan, The City government of Grand Rapids, youth activists from Traverse City, and Citizens' Climate Lobby.

West Michigan bands The Vishaps, and KJ & the Good Time Family Band perform as patrons enjoy displays from the Kendall Art Institute and Grand Valley State University.  And award-winning artists David Cope, Max Lockwood and Zachary Clementz share their spoken word poetry.

Once again that's "Our Children's Future"  - this Wednesday April 11 at Wealthy Theatre. The event is free and open to all ages.

Now showing: UICA presents CAMPUS, an expansive exhibition featuring the work of distinguished artists and designers who work as part of the expansive Ferris State University, Kendall College of Art and Design, and Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts' campus.

Work by faculty and staff members of the University network will be on view through May 13th featuring a wide range of visual practices, spanning all genres and media.

Concerts Under the Stars at the Grand Rapids Public Museum's Chaffee Planetarium is a concert series that combines the wonder of the cosmos and the wonder of music.

The series continues this Thursday, April 12 with Major Murphy live in the planetarium.  Major Murphy creates a chilled-out tempo and atmosphere that will expand the enthusiastic layers of psychedelia. The musical performance is paired with a live light show on the full dome, with 4 K visuals and state-of-the-art surround sound.
