WYCE presents Local Spins Live at Speak EZ Lounge - every Wednesday night at 8pm! This series features a wide array of the best musicians in the West Michigan area, performing in a casual setting with no cover charge.
Tonight, Local Spins Live welcomes Olivia Mainville & The Aquatic Troupe!
Grand Rapids-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Olivia Mainville dove headfirst into the world of music as early as the fifth grade, when she had begun playing viola and upright bass in orchestra class. Following her first Wheatland Festival performance in 2012, Mainville fell in love with the idea of performing her own songs on stage, which eventually inspired her gypsy swing and baroque pop combo.
Speak EZ Lounge is at 600 Monroe NorthWest.
Ages "21 plus" welcome after 9pm.
Tune in every Friday at 11am for Local Spins on WYCE, a one-hour exploration of the best in local and regional music, hosted by veteran music journalist John "Sink-uh-vitch", publisher of Local Spins.com.
This week, John welcomes Kalamazoo singer/songwriter Brian "KEN-igs-NECKT", who is releasing the new album "From the Shadows to The Deep" this weekend.
Plus we'll spin some of the best new local and regional recordings, often heard for the first time anywhere on the radio!
Local Spins on WYCE - this Friday at 11am - right here on WYCE!
