Today’s WYCE Artist of the Day is GRACE POTTER. Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Grace Potter (born June 20, 1983), is known for her vocal qualities—evocative of blues rock singers like Janis Joplin or Koko Taylor—as well as for her vibrant energy on stage. Besides playing with the Nocturnals, Potter has also released solo material and collaborated with other artists. This Friday, Grace Potter releases the new album ‘Midnight.’ It’s the first without her longtime band The Nocturnals, Grace Potter performs at Kalamazoo State Theatre, Sunday, October 25th. In late May 2010, Vermont specialty chocolate maker created a new chocolate bar in conjunction with Grace Potter called Grace Under Fire. The dark chocolate contains pistachios and red pepper flakes.
