Meijer Gardens Summer Concert Series welcomes "Sweet Harmony Soul" featuring Mavis Staples, Patty Griffin and Amy Helm - Thursday, July 9 at 6:30pm.
Mavis Staples is a gospel and rhythm-and-blues singer who made hits of "I'll Take You There" and "Respect Yourself" with The Staple Singers. She won her first Grammy with "You Are Not Alone," a collaboration with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy.
Patty Griffin is multi-Grammy winning singer/songwriter who has also been honored as Americana Music Association's Artist of the Year.
Amy Helm is the daughter of music legend Levon Helm. She lends a powerful voice to traditional gospel, blues standards and original compositions.
Sweet Harmony Soul is performing at Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater on Thursday, July 9 at 6:30pm.
