A Versatile Multi-Instrumentalist Raised On a Plantation, Nelson Learned His Craft From Henderson Chatmon (Mississippi Sheiks). Renowned Throughout The Delta, He Often Modified His Guitars To Seven & Nine Strings & Played The Laptop Using A Knife For A Slide. Three Of His Recordings Done Before 1941 Are Forever Forged In Blues History. Nelson Recorded Sporadically Till The 1990's But Sadly The Interest In His Music Waned. 12/23/1908 - 11/4/1998 (89)
Johnson's Early Life & Origins Are Unknown. First Recordings Were In Chicago In 1929. Not Recording Again Till 1935, She Chose To Record Bawdy Blues & Hokum Making Use Of The One Thing That Sells Music; Sex. All Her Recordings Fell Into Copyright Limbo & Eventually Public Domain. No Record Of What Became Of Johnson Can Be Found After Her Final Recordings In 1937. ?/?/? - ?/?/?
