Oh I’m still living~ At the old address~ And I’m waiting on the weather~ And I know you’ll pass~ I know that it’s true~ It’s gonna be a good year~ Out of the darkness~ And into the fire~ I’ll tell you I love you~ And my hearts in the strangest place~ That’s how it started~ And that’s how it ends
Thank you Ria!
Is losing something that you love~ a blessing in disguise~ who comes and goes into our life~ not for us to decide~ You can bury them deep inside~ but you can never hide~ You waited for them long enough~ It's time to say goodbye~ O my lordy O my god~ I finally see what's going on~ I count the fingers that you made me~ Am I squandering the life you gave me~ I never seem to find the words~ the devil ties my tongue~ Then I find the perfect words~ the moment you have gone~ Are we still lovers we'll never be friends~ Is this all there is? Is this where it ends?~ Was it fate? Was it games of chance?~ Are we victims of the circumstances~ O my lordy....... Bend your words into a prayer~ send them on a trip some where~ Let them ring and resonate~ Kiss your lips and seal my fate~ maybe losing something~ that you love is a blessing in disguise~ you've been their slave for far too long~ It's time to say goodbye~
Julian Fernando Casablancas is a solo artist, vocalist, and chief songwriter of the American rock band The Strokes. As The Strokes principal songwriter, he has the greatest impact on their sound and has been known to be extremely meticulous with it. While Casablancas composes on a variety of instruments, he uses the keyboard to write complex arrangements that he later transposes to fit The Strokes' guitar-driven lineup.
For Ryan K
