posted by Chris Kotcher on 12/06/2021

Join the GRPM and the Diatribe for a special presentation and panel discussion about The 49507 Project, an artist and youth-led community celebration commissioning seven local Black and Brown artists for large scale murals on prominent buildings in majority Black and Brown neighborhoods.

The Diatribe and the Grand Rapids Public Museum have partnered to bring the community a special panel session led by moderator Jocelyn Barnes-Guyton, to explore the significance of the 49507 Project. Seven panelists will share their connections and what this project means to them and the community. Q & A to follow.

Wednesday, November 17,2021. The program was recorded by GRTV/GRCMC and shared on the GRPM’s Youtube channel. Full video recording of the event program will be added to the GRPM’s Digital Collections.
